'Lovely'...I had a 1966 , same orangey red, but ithink it had black mudguards. I also owned a 1965 Tiumph Tiger 90 , blue/silver 350. ,Those were the days'. That sounds like the beging of a song? It is!......Those were the days my friend , we thought they'd never end , we'd sing and dance , forever and a day. Yes , i wish i still had mine Cojon . Yes Jerry46, it was always leaking oil .
I wish I had kept my 1965 model. It was a beauty, started first kick nearly every time, took me from San Jose to Mexico and back with a wonderful lady who broke her collarbone when her Honda 305 crashed from a speed wobble.
The image must be airbrushed as there isn't a pool of oil under the bike lol. I finished up with a 1969 model. These 1959 models can sell for £12,000.00 now and cost £288.00 when new.
Sadly dated; but still very desirable. These bikes need attension, they need the riders input, care.. They breath and talk to you. Plus Steve McQueen made them cool.
