You're quite ignorant if you think motorcycle helmets should be mandatory, but not auto helmets. Motorcycle helmet law states have very little difference in death and injury. Only attention of drivers and riders makes a difference.

I still think it is better if it is mandatory to put a helmet on , there is something important to be put in it :)
